"I am sorry I made a mistake," Farah said about Deepika. Asked by Karan to rate some popular actresses in order of talent, Farah had ranked Deepika at the bottom.

When reminded by Karan that Deepika debuted in her film, she said: "But then I saw (her in) some other movies too." Sure Deepika would not have taken kindly to that remark. So Farah was quick to defend herself.

"Deepika has become a very good actress. I had seen her in the film Bachna Ae Haseeno after Om Shanti Om, in which she was really not very good. But she showed a lot of improvement in Karthik Calling Karthik," Farah said.

Claire Danes in 'Showtime Series'

Claire Danes, who recently won an Emmy for HBO's "Temple Grandin," has been signed to star in a new Showtime drama, "Homeland," which will begin production in January.

The series revolves around an American soldier taken prisoner during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. After being left for dead, the soldier returns to the U.S. after spending many years in captivity. Danes will play Carrie Anderson, an ambitious CIA officer battling her own psychological demons who becomes convinced that something is not right and that the returning soldier might be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil.

The role of the soldier will be cast shortly, Showtime executives said.

The project, which is loosely based on the Israeli TV series "Prisoners of War," is the first to be ordered by Showtime President of Entertainment David Nevins, who assumed his post in August. One of the executive producers of the pilot is Howard Gordon ("24").

"Homeland" marks a return to series television for Danes, who first came to prominence in the 1994 ABC series "My So-Called Life."

Christina Milian's Divorce Deal

Christina Milian and music super-producer The-Dream have reportedly finally reached a divorce settlement -- one that will award the singer a one-time sum of $4 million.

Milian will get the windfall in addition to $5,000 a month in child support for her and The-Dream's daughter, Violet, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

In exchange for the payment and continued support, Milian is also said to have signed a strict non-disclosure agreement that forbids her to divulge details of their relationship.

The pair eloped in 2009 to Las Vegas, only to announce in July 2010 that they'd split a few months after their wedding. While The-Dream -- real name Terius Nash -- said their efforts as a couple were "unsuccessful," photos of the producer frolicking on a beach with his assistant suggested infidelity.

If the NDA is in place, we'll probably never know. And Milian can sing her own tune all the way to the bank.

Cheryl Cole the new X Factor Judge

One of her acts was sent home this weekend, but it seems Cheryl Cole still has something to celebrate.

The 27-year-old has discovered that she’s landed a place on the judging panel of the U.S. version of the X Factor, according to a source, in a deal worth up to £3million.

An insider had already suggested that Cole was a ‘good bet’ to join Simon Cowell on the show next year.

But on Saturday night, Mrs Cole was officially offered the job, the source said, only a week after executives from U.S. television network Fox flew in to watch the ITV talent show – and the judge – in action.

Cowell, 51, last week revealed that he planned to announce the judges for the U.S. version in December.

The multi-millionaire said: ‘I’m going to make an announcement within three or four weeks, which is going to tell everyone everything. There will be some surprises.’

He then revealed: ‘OK, one of the judges has quite long hair.’

Singer Nicole Scherzinger, who performed her new single Poison on Sunday night’s show, is also a favourite to join the judging panel after a successful stint standing in for Dannii Minogue at the auditions this summer.

Mrs Cole is said to be keen to launch her music career in the U.S. and flew to meet record bosses at Universal earlier this month. They want to release her second solo album, Messy Little Raindrops, there next year.

Cowell helped the singer make the move away from her pop band Girls Aloud when he handed her the X Factor role two years ago.

Considering the information lock-down that Warner Bros. and director Christopher Nolan are likely installing for The Dark Knight Rises, their upcoming sequel to The Dark Knight, fans will likely have to hear many rumors before any true details are presented (a "Marion Cotillard to play Catwoman or Talia Al Ghul" rumor already floated around in August). The latest rumor claims that Charlize Theron, Vera Farmiga, and The Burning Plain actress Kacie Thomas are being sought for two female lead roles in the highly-anticipated sequel. While the rumor remains unsubstantiated, the roles the actresses are rumored for definitely draw interest.

According to the report, Theron is being sought for the role of Sarah Essen, a Gotham detective that strikes up an affair with then-Lieutenant Gordon in Frank Miller's 1987 Year One arc of the Batman comic book. Gary Oldman getting a love interest? We admit, it's intriguing.

Meanwhile, Farmiga and Thomas are reportedly up for the role of Julie Madison, who appeared in the comic books as Bruce Wayne's fiancee and earliest love interest. Again, intriguing.

One thing is for sure: with the character of Rachel Dawes (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight) no longer a part of the series, there's currently no love interest for Christian Bale. She may be down a sash but she's up one husband – and soon, a baby.

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean is expecting her first child, FOX411.com reported.

Prejean, who was stripped of her title in 2009 for contraction violations, is three months along, she told the site.

The beauty queen married Oakland Raiders quarterback, Kyle Boller, in July.

"We are just so excited," Prejean gushed. "I'm due in May on my grandmother's birthday. She recently passed away, so that's very special to us."

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, France's first lady, has vowed to help a grieving Italian mother find out what happened to her son, who died in mysterious circumstances while held in a French prison.

In her letter Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy, who sees herself as a champion for human rights, she said: "I was very deeply moved by your letter and I want to express my deep condolences. I want you to know that I am close to you in your pain.

"I have full faith in the French justice system and they will answer you and the Italian authorities. There is ongoing contact between them both. Be assured you have my solidarity, keep strong and brave. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy."

Mrs Antignano had written to her last month asking her for help after official requests for information from Franco Frattini, Italy's Foreign Minister, to French authorities also went answered.

Mrs Antignano, who had been planning to travel to Paris to take her protest to the French personally, said: "I couldn't believe it when I got the reply from her. I hope as well that my faith in French justice will return."

She added that Mrs Bruni-Sarkozy's reply meant she would be unlikely now to travel to France for a while as the letter had "brought the matter to public attention".
French authorities are investigating the death which took place in Grasse prison and have promised to return the missing organs by the end of next month so that an autopsy on them can be carried out in Italy.

They are also trying to trace a diary he kept in which his mother says he detailed his mistreatment and poor conditions and which has gone missing since his death.

Camilla stars in the upcoming film "Father of Invention." An entrepreneur with a world-class ego has to rebuild his empire and his family relationships from scratch in this comedy.

Robert Axle (Kevin Spacey) built a multi-million dollar business out of selling household gadgets through television infomercials, and managed to alienate nearly everyone around him when fame and wealth turned him into an arrogant loudmouth. Camilla plays his daughter, Claire.

The day of the puppets has come at last (or so it would seem from recent news out of Hollywood.) In addition to the star-studded Muppet film The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made, we have some potential blockbuster casting news on the dark comic puppet film The Happytime Murders.

As we wrote in our first description of the film in October, the movie “depicts an alternate reality where puppets are sentient beings that live alongside humans. The puppets exist as “second class citizens” to the humans, and when the cast of an 80s puppet TV show, ‘The Happytime Gang,’ begin to turn up dead, an alcoholic ex-cop puppet turned private detective must solve the murders with his human ex-partner.”

All in all, it’s a pretty intriguing premise, and something that I would definitely be interested in seeing. Then again, I could listen to the soundtrack to Avenue Q everyday and never get tired of it, so I’m probably the ideal target for this movie.

Considering the somewhat unusual nature of the movie, could it click with general audiences? Perhaps, if you add a legit A-list star like Cameron Diaz. According to Vulture, Diaz has been offered a role in the film. There is no word yet on whether she has read the script or made a decision either way, but it’s still an interesting piece of news. For one thing, it begs the question of who Diaz might be playing.

In most crime movies, there’s a femme fatale character — somebody who cozies up to the lead and throws a wrench into his plans. Smart money says the role Cameron Diaz was offered fits into that category. On the other hand, the writers may have flipped the script and made a woman the human ex-partner, in which case Diaz could be up for that part.

Whatever the case, it’s nice to see a big name attached to such a unique project. Vulture has some details on the script and it sounds like the filmmakers are really shooting for an R-rating. That’s good to hear. Sometimes, with all of the mundane sequels, remakes, and retreads, it feels like nobody in Hollywood is willing to take a chance with their movie. The Happytime Murders could be an awesome movie that bucks that trend.

Brooke Hogan defied the 80-degree weather in Los Angeles yesterday and went ice skating at an outdoor rink.

The 22-year-old daughter of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan careered around on the ice effortlessly wearing tight jeans and a pink top.

She was apparently cheered on by her once-estranged mother with whom she had a difficult relationship with following her parent's divorce.

Brooke shot to fame on the back of her family's TV show, Hogan Knows Best, but after the collapse of her parent's marriage she moved into her own home in Miami, where she stars in the spin-off show, now in its second season.

Her attempts at a pop career have been ridiculed in the media, but this hasn't stopped Brooke from pursuing her ambition, followed by the cameras.

Brooke's mother Linda was involved in an acrimonious two-year battle with Hulk after filing for divorce in 2007 at the end of their twenty three years of marriage.

The split grew increasingly ugly when Linda publicly began dating Brooke's former classmate, 19-year-old Charlie Hill.

With her divorce from first husband Deryck Whibley finalised, Avril Lavigne is now free to enjoy life as a single woman.

But it seems she won't be hitting the nightclubs just yet - the singer is already enjoying domestic life with her new lover.

She was spotted grocery shopping with boyfriend Brody Jenner yesterday, the day after her marriage officially ended.

Avril and Brody have been dating since February, and have enjoyed a whirlwind romance.

In July, Brody had 'Avril' tattooed on his forearm and Avril had 'Brody' tattooed under her right breast.

But while Avril, 25, and Sum 41 lead singer Whibley, 26 ended their three-year marriage a year ago the divorce was only finalised yesterday.

Bristol Palin’s dancing on the sign-of-the-apocalypse programming, Dancing With The Stars, has prompted a lot of criticism, but this may be the first 15-hour armed stand-off with the cops. Steven Cowan, 67, of Wisconsin, apparently flew into a frothy rage after watching the young Palin, who he claimed was not a good dancer and was only on the show because of her mother’s fame, and shot his television with a single-shot shotgun. According to a police report of the incident, he was so angry, he scared the “Bejebees” of his wife, Janice.

Cowan, however, then turned the gun on his wife, who managed to escape, and call the police (and tell them he scared the “Bejebees” out of her); a 15-hour stand off between Cowan and the cops, involving the SWAT team, then ensued.

Get ready for fireworks: Brandi Glanville, Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife, says she is finally "going to go and sit down and talk" to LeAnn Rimes.

She made the announcement Thursday on the new daytime chatfest The Talk, USA Today reports.

During her chat with Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini and Julie Chen, Glanville said she thought she had "a great marriage" to Cibrian, 38. "My marriage - in my head - was not in trouble," she said.

That's why she was so caught off-guard by Us Weekly's report that Cibrian and Rimes, 28, had an affair shooting a Lifetime flick last year.

She said it's been tough adjusting, especially now that her two boys are living with Rimes and Cibrian.

"I'm used to having my kids all the time," she said. "Now I have them part-time. I don't have a nanny. I don't have help. When they're gone, I'm alone."

So she is usually left nursing wine alone.

She said what used to be "one to two" glasses "is now three to four."

But Glanville, who was recently arrested for DUI, insisted, "I don't think I have a drinking problem. I think I had a problem the other night when I made a bad choice to drive."
