Gisele Bundchen Calls Sunscreen Poison

Gisele Bundchen is feeling the heat this afternoon. During a press conference for her new organic skincare line, the model said that she never uses sunscreen / sun tan lotion because it’s “poison”.

I cannot put this poison on my skin. I do not use anything synthetic.”

Funny because Gisele Bundchen took money to appear in Nivea’s skincare campaign a few years back. Guess the poison doesn’t hurt when you’re getting the big bucks to endorse it.

Cancer experts have spoken up about Gisele’s assumptions. Us Magazine reports:

“Sunscreen prevents damage to the skin and is of fundamental importance for the prevention of cancer. This is not any poison, when a public person makes a statement like this, it creates confusion.”

I’m sure Gisele Bundchen just meant that she likes to use an organic line instead of the mainstream brands, but that’s not how it’s being spun.
