Jennifer Hawkins is a free agent after officially ending her long-term ties with Channel 7.

An enthused Hawkins said she was ready for new challenges - the first of which is expected to be a series of stories with Channel 9's Getaway travel show.

"I am off contract with Channel 7 as of [Wednesday]," she said.

"I am now not exclusive anymore, meaning I'm able to take on different projects whether they be with Seven, Nine or Ten. I can be a bit more creative on that front.

"I've had amazing opportunities with Seven and there is nothing to say that I won't work with them again in the future, it is just that I won't be exclusive."

FORMER Miss Universe and ubiquitous marketing machine Jennifer Hawkins has signed a new deal with a fashionable shoe outfit.

One of Australia's young women's fashion footwear players, Siren Shoes says it has strategically positioned itself for significant growth after securing Ms Hawkins as the face of its national brand.

Jennifer Hawkins, who has been voted one of the world's most beautiful women and is already the face of Myer and recently launched her own line of lingerie called Lovable, has entered into a three year contract with Siren which will see her become the face of the brand.

Cube Footwear, the owner of Siren, group director Michael Emanouel said Jennifer portrays everything that the brand stands for.

Jennifer Hawkins is an Australian beauty queen, model and television presenter best known as Miss Universe 2004 and the face of Australian department store Myer.

Hawkins was born in Holmesville, New South Wales, Australia. She is one of four children to her parents. Hawkins was a former cheerleader for the Newcastle Knights rugby league team, and the Hunter Pirates basketball team and also worked as a model. It was as a model that she was cast as Miss Australia for the Miss Universe competition. Hawkins also worked as a choreographer for a dance team that toured Australia specialising in Hip-Hop and Ballet.

Hawkins began dating international model and former carpenter Jake Wall just prior to winning the Miss Universe pageant, and the two continued their relationship following Hawkins' return to Australia after her year based in New York.
