Although born in Belgium, Hanna Verboom spent much of her childhood in the African wild, growing up in Kenya, Uganda and Sudan. By the time she moved to the Netherlands, it was readily apparent that Hanna had blossomed into womanhood. Tall, blonde and statuesque, the Belgian beauty soon embarked on a successful modeling career with prominent commercial spots for CNN, Vodafone and Orange. Her exemplary work in front of the camera also allowed Hanna to capture the prestigious Dutch Elite Model Look in 2003.
Hannah's increased exposure naturally led to more frequent television appearances, and in 2004, she was tabbed to host the Netherlands' version of Top of the Pops. She also made her big-screen debut that same year with a starring role in the hilarious Dutch comedy Snowfever. It was 2005, however, that truly put Hanna on the international map, as she starred in Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo.
The film earned over $44 million worldwide, but just as importantly, it convinced Rob Schneider that Hannah had star power. "She's gonna follow in Rachel McAdams' footsteps, being a big star and making movies with all these other people," he said. "I think Hanna Verboom can follow in her footsteps."
