Ashley Olsen and beau Justin Bartha's plane makes an emergency touchdown.
On the couple's flight from New York to L.A., a small fire had broke out in the cockpit of the plane, which prompted an early emergency landing on Sunday night. No casualties have been reported, including Olsen and the 'Hangover' star, who are both safe and sound.
In a statement to E News, L.A. based publicist Phil Lobel says that the pair were among the estimated 100 passengers on the United Flight, which was apparently diverted to Washington D.C.'s Dulles International Airport at about 9:30 p.m. after an electrical fire caused a crack in the plane's windshield.
Lobel narrates to The Associated Press that about 30 minutes into the flight, he had detected an electrical burning smell, and shortly after, flight attendants started going over emergency instructions with passengers in the exit rows. Someone had also retrieved a fire extinguisher from the back of the plane.
