Train offers up a group of USA wrestling athletes competing in Eastern Europe who are supposed to get on a train to continue their amateur competition.
The team of wrestlers miss the train because they decided to go out partying the night before and end up boarding a last minute train in order to make their next meet. At this point we are introduced to a violent blood soaked ravenous ride on rails as the friends fall victim to capitalistic organ profiteers.
Many critics have discussed the similarities between this movie and Hostel, but in my opinion, Train comes out on top for a couple reasons. Exemplary acting, especially via Thora Birch, and adventurous cinematography by director Gideon Raff. This is one of the best horror films of 2009.
