Although she performed a seductive snake dance in 1996’s ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’, Salma Hayek is clearly uncomfortable with being around the reptile
In 1996’s action-horror film From Dusk Till Dawn, which was written by Quentin Tarantino, actress Salma Hayek performed an infamously seductive dance with a snake draped around her body. However, during a recent promotional interview for her upcoming film Grown Ups, it became perfectly clear that Hayek is unquestionably terrified of snakes. According to The New York Daily News, a snake made an unexpected visit to the set of the interview and the actress responded by completely losing her composure.
Hayek was seated in between her two female co-stars, Saturday Night Live’s Maya Rudolph and experienced actress Mario Bello, when the snake arrived on the scene. The Mexican actress responded by latching onto Rudolph’s forearm and climbing onto her co-star’s chair while wearing stilettos. Hayek was draped all over Rudolph as she screamed, “Somebody do something! No!”
After the snake was removed from the vicinity, Rudolph and Bello responded to the incident, which appeared to be scary as it occurred but relatively comical in retrospect. Bello said, “It was like a python, it was thick. Its head was like this, like a cobra!” When she was asked where Hayek went, Rudolph responded by saying, “She split. She’s on the next plane.” Bello followed up with a joke of her own, saying, “She’s in the hospital.”
