American singer John Mayer praised singer Taylor Swift at Hall of Fame honours, saying that her huge success is not an accident.
Grammy winner Swift was honoured with the Hal David Straight Award. It is an honour given to promising young songwriters.
Swift got the award for her hit tunes like Love Story and You Belong with Me.
And Swift was highly praised by Mayer as he introduced her to the stage to honour her with the award at a celebratory dinner in New York, reports The Daily Star.
"She's no accident. You could put her in a time machine in any era and she would have a hit record. Don't confuse everybody loving one thing as hype. Sometimes that's everyone agreeing that it's fabulous," Mayer said.
